Tinkering the ivories for a different audience: Reuters video tells story of pianist who played concert for hundreds of Thai monkeys

While on tour in central Thailand, British musician Paul Barton was mobbed by unruly audiences who tugged his hair, stole his music and climbed all over his piano. In a quirky video, Reuters reports how Barton was a rock star to hundreds of hungry wild monkeys that he hoped his music could calm, at a time when Thailand’s coronavirus-induced tourism hiatus meant there were fewer visitors to feed them, and less funds allocated for their welfare.
